Hidden away on a side street, moments from London Waterloo lies Dieter’s secret theatre, a forgotten perforance space steeped in mystery and magic. This December, it opens its doors exclusively for the corporate events market, offering an unforgettable night of cocktails, close-up illusion, theatrical storytelling and live music, all wrapped in one of London’s most original festive experiences.
A Magical Tribute Like No Other
Step into the world of Dieter Roterburg, a famed carnival showman, magician and eccentric collector. You’re invited to his final farewell with a tribute unlike any other, curated and scripted by the man himself.
Hosted by his enigmatic widow, Calliope, and featuring a cast of world-class magicians from across the globe, The Magicians Table concept combines immersive theatre, spellbinding performances and rich storytelling in a warmly-lit warehouse full of atmosphere and wonder.
Written by BAFTA and Olivier Award-winner Iain Sharkey (best known for Derren Brown’s live shows), this event masterfully blurs the lines between audience and performer, creating a festive night of joy, amazement and togetherness.
The Evening Unfolds Like Magic
THE SPELL IS CAST AND THE ILLUSION BEGINS
Guests arrive via a tucked-away Bermondsey street, greeted at the door by mysterious hosts. Whisper the password to gain entry and you’ll be welcomed with a handcrafted reception cocktail for the night ahead, with the first hint that this is no ordinary Christmas celebration.
Step inside Dieter’s Theatre, now transformed into a beautifully themed, vintage theatre, filled with curiosity cabinets, carnival relics and velvet-draped corners. It’s here the magic begins, as illusionists roam the bar performing sleight-of-hand and mind-reading just inches from your glass. A SEAT AT THE MAGICIANS TABLE
Once coats are checked and cocktails served, guests are invited upstairs to explore the vintage theatre bar, where festive drinks flow, seasonal bites served and atmospheric background music setting the scene.
After a round of mingling and a spellbinding encounter with roaming magicians, who perform impossibly close, transforming small moments into unforgettable ones. Then it’s back upstairs, where you’ll take your seat at one of ten hand-crafted tables in a cabaret-style layout ensuring every guest has a front-row view.

Dieter’s Final Performance
As glasses are topped up and the evening advances, Calliope, Dieter’s enigmatic widow, takes centre stage to guide you through a heartfelt, humorous and at times unsettling tribute to her late husband.
Throughout the evening, four different magicians will visit your table, each with a distinctive style, from quick-fire comedy and cheeky charm to slow, spine-tingling silence. Every moment is intimate, engaging and designed to draw you into Dieter’s strange and mesmerising world.
No cameras. No stage barriers. Just world-class magic happening right before your eyes.
This theatrical finale features stunning illusions, live music and a few surprises from beyond the grave. It’s immersive, emotional and unlike anything else you’ll experience this Christmas.
THE LAST ACT
But the night doesn’t end there. Our accordionist Ellis (your musical host throughout the evening) joins the resident DJ to take the party up a gear. As the magic fades, the dance floor beckons. Drinks keep flowing, the lights lower and it’s your turn to conjure some festive magical moves.
