An accordion player and street hustler, Ellis came into Dieter’s life after trying to pickpocket the man during a busy street show in Paris.

Caught red-handed dipping her hands into Dieter’s pockets, Ellis was convinced she was going to be handed over to the police, until Dieter sat her down, and showed her - step by step - a better way to procure purses and wallets.

The pair immediately became thick as thieves - quite literally - and it’s claimed that Ellis would ‘work the crowd’ for a little extra profit, whenever Dieter performed… though none would ever admit it.
