Easily one of the greatest card magicians in the world - if it wasn’t for Dieter, The Mechanic would still be selling shoes, in a high-end boutique, just off the Tottenham Court Road.

After lacing up a particularly fancy set of brogues which he was about to try on - Dieter noticed a rare dexterity in his fingers.

“Have you ever thought of becoming a magician?” the elder asked… and the rest is history.

Dieter never did buy those shoes - but ended up teaching The Mechanic everything he knows.
